Kerugoya, August 5, 2025 —
What began as a chilly morning at the Love of Jesus Ministry headquarters in Kimandi, Kerugoya, quickly transformed into a blazing spiritual encounter as hundreds of faithful gathered for the much-anticipated Army of the Lord Interdenominational Prayer Meeting.
By 11:00 a.m., the sanctuary was filled to capacity, living up to the saying, "No hurry in Africa." The day-long event was fully covered by GTV Media in collaboration with the LOJM IT department, ensuring the experience reached even those who could not attend in person.

The host, Bishop Jane Muchiri, officially opened the altar with a powerful message on the mission, vision, and the divine mandate carried by The Army of the Lord. She introduced the day’s lineup of speakers and humorously reminded the congregation that the Chief Guest, Jesus Christ, had arrived before everyone else.
Next on the pulpit was Rev. Nancy, the visionary behind the Army of the Lord, who welcomed new recruits into the movement. She delivered a stirring message titled “The Difference Between a Prayer Meeting and a Prayer Altar,” referencing 1 Chronicles 5:9, Genesis 12:7, and 1 Kings 18:30. With fire in her voice and scripture at her fingertips, she challenged the audience with a pointed question: "Where is the tangible power of God?"

Adding a unique twist to the gathering, Bishop Dedan led the congregation through a symbolic spiritual fitness challenge, calling on soldiers of faith to “speak life and dare to die”—a metaphor for dying to self and living fully for Christ. He passionately urged attendees to shift their focus from fear and funeral preparations to vibrant, purpose-driven living.

The event culminated in a Holy Communion service presided over by Dr. Thomas Kagiri, sealing the day with a sacred reflection and renewed dedication.
The next recruitment seminar for the Army of the Lord is scheduled for October 10, 2025, in Ndorome, Mwea, with high expectations for yet another fire-packed gathering.
As the congregation dispersed, one thing was clear: the Army of the Lord is on the march, and Kerugoya has felt the tremors of a spiritual awakening.
